Palm bit holder
Sometime ago, I made two versions of palm bit holders.
The first one was made with a magnetic bit holder and a leftover piece of cedar (red arrow in the first image):

The second one was made with a 1/4” socket bit and a piece of apple wood.

These palm bit holders are useful when there is limited access for conventional screwdrivers or wrenches. Of course, there are commercial items, and some of them include ratcheting mechanism (https://www.google.com.mx/search?q=1...alm+bit+holder)
Regards, morsa.

Very nicely done and wood is much easier on the hands than metal.
I have a commercial version, all metal and ratcheting, that is fitted with a 1/4" square drive for sockets. Very handy indeed. It's amazing how much torque one can generate with that extra inch or so of radius.

Thanks, mklotz. I agree with you.
For the same purpose, time after making these palm bit holders, I bought a universal grip wrench from HFT (Universal Grip Wrench), and a finger grip socket adapter from Craftsman (Sears.com). They are really useful, but sometimes I prefer to use the ones I made.
