    Looks like they tried their inaugural flight a little before they had the thing completely finished. I didn't see any directional control vanes behind the propeller.
    Altitude would have been controlled by throttle but without any directional control save for pulling on static lines their abilities to avoid obstacles would be limited

    Wrong I kmow, but this made me chuckle. I think it was the way the bloke just wanders off after take off.
    I have a 1972 Land Rover Series III Truck Cab/Pick-Up and a 1962 Land Rover Series 2a Carawagon Camper.

    Not sure what caused this accident, but reading about it brought me to this unusual attentional phenomenon: Target fixation.

    FAA-regged "powered parachute", SkyRunner Mk 3.2, complete and ready to run/ fly.

    NTSB engaged in investigation, though accident took place Feb 9th last year in Dubai, UAE:

    Pilot error? Low climb rate & air speed due to low air density (high temp, high RH, low barometric pressure)?
