Thread: please help ID mystery tool?

    Hi every one, in Australia we use these for steel erection. The taper end is for lining up bolt holes and the taper end for lifting and leveling. We call these tools a "Podger bar".

    Nope, sorry John 1938 --- NOT a Podger bar, a Podger bar has a pointy end to stick into holes, to force the two holes into alignment and normally has something like a hammer head at the other end, or sometimes a spanner. This bar in question, ----- has flats at both ends.
