Nope, sorry John 1938 --- NOT a Podger bar, a Podger bar has a pointy end to stick into holes, to force the two holes into alignment and normally has something like a hammer head at the other end, or sometimes a spanner. This bar in question, ----- has flats at both ends.
In 1974 I bought a large split pin selection kit., 800 pieces, 1.2mm to 6,4mm, that had 2 of those split pin Tommie bars included, 1 small and one large. I still have both, and a myriad splitpins.
