olderdan,
Nice and handy for small holes and can be mounted quickly. I have a couple of 1/4" Supreme drill chucks that have never been used. Now I have a future project.
Thanks for sharing!

I achieve the same high speed drilling or grinding with either an air turbine or electric spindle mounted to the tool post.

Hi Gang:
I helped rebuild a multi station machine that worked like that. For some reason spinning the part and the drill tends to make more concentric holes??

Hi Gang:
I help rebuild a machine for drilling valves for gasoline injectors. To keep the holes centered the machine spun both the valve seat and the drills. I don't know why but it kept the drill from wandering and also maintained a good cutting speed. It was quite a machine: twelve chucks holding the parts vertical, one load station, one unload station and ten working stations. Flood coolant for all, the machine was in a Plexiglas case to keep the operator dry.
Carl.
