Poor man indexing way - lathe

    Hi all!
I had to index a couple of round parts for an horn stand I'm building. My dividing head is too big for my milling machine and I don't want to modify my lathe at the moment (I would like to change the machine soon). I used a 60° threading tool, it gives a nice trace in the aluminum. With a bit of patience it's possible to draw the pattern with a tiny felt tip pen. The result is not great not terrible, pretty good for a full hand operation.
