PJ, Thanks. I'll try to work on my posting skills. I'm much better with tools than a smartphone and computer. But this will give me a chance to learn new skills.

PJ, I hope these pics will be better. Not sure why but I was only able to download one pic. Been having problems with this for a few days now sometimes it works and sometimes it won't.

Excellent, Much Better! WowSir! Did you carve all that relief in the trim? Goodness!

I and a few others have been experiencing upload issues. I found by using the "basic" loader at the lower right of the popup you can get them to go but you have to do one at a time. Firefox? Jon is trying to ferret it out.

PJ, I'll try that next. I'm using Chrome. As for the carving, they are supplied with the kit, they are flat pieces so some of them needed to be formed to fit.

The frames or ribs were composed of futtocks or sawn pieces of varying sizes which were scarfed together to form an entire frame like a sort of nautical jigsaw. The shipbuilders had to do this because they wouldn't use a complete tree to make a rib, as the grain was too fragile and unstable. Using futtocks (each one was given a number: first futtock, 2nd futtock etc.)made for a very strong rib/frame and allowed the builder to even use different types of wood for the frames, although oak was preferred. These builders were master carpenters and craftsmen. I have seen houses built by them and they are amazing!
