I needed to use different hardware for my barndoor kit, so I powder coated it in my shop. I will share some tips to do this in your shop for a small investment.

I thought that the electrostatic application of the powder was the key step, but for these parts, the dipping seems to work fine.

The electrostatic is usually the directed method, however in this application, heat is the key

The process he is using is call 'Hot - Flocking'. You can use this process for materials that have little to no conductivity, and non-metallic materials (such as glass)

Fluidized bed powder coating without fluidizing the bed? If you fluidize the powder you'll get a much more even coat of paint.

Surely you are correct sir. I was unable to find my air pump contraption that I had packed prior to my recent move. I appreciate the comment thread response
