Powered homemade bead roller and slip rolls

Hi All
At last the bead roller is operational under power.

The original motor was a sewing machine clutched motor which was difficult to control at a constant low speed. So had to go back to the drawing board. There didn’t seem too many options and the cost would be high to source a motor and gear box and I would be stuck with a single speed.

I was a little concerned about buying an alternative sewing machine motor but was interested in the servo motors that are reasonable price and come with a speed controller. so took a chance and purchased one. I am so pleased and impressed with the motor and control.

I have posted a video to show the motor arrangement to power both the bead roller and slip rolls.

This is a 1HP motor
