that guy has some trigger finger on him his rapid fire would equate to 480 rounds a minute assuming he had a weapon with 480 rounds in it, is similar to some machine guns

Impressive, especially the reload. This is a beautiful, but most basic form of single trigger pull, single shot - semi - automatic (because the cylinder moves the next round into position) weapon. A "mean looking" AR 15 is also just a semi - automatic weapon (moves a new round into position) but does have the configuration to carry more rounds. ONE is mischaracterized, vilified and called "AN ASSAULT WEAPON" the other just a six (8) shooter. Every ASSAULT WEAPON I have ever fired were FULL AUTOMATIC (if selected) and fired every round with one - single trigger pull, and are already legally challenging for the average gun owner to possess.

And both McGivern and Miculek use Smith & Wessons; not highly vaunted Colts...just sayin. The real differences, mechanics of the main [single leaf] and rebound springs.

I'd bet neither of them had any issues with cylinder 'bind', something easier to attend to with a S&W than a Colt, though I favoured a micro angled forcing cone back face, with point contact only at the top in the event of enough cylinder 'float' to cause bind as the rotation pawl pushes the cylinder forward as well as round, the club Colt Trooper was much worse than my well worn S&W Mod. 66. This is all I'm allowed now, when/if I can afford one: Westlake Engineering - Products

Jerry Michulek has a youtube channel that's worth binging. Not only is he one of the best shooters in history, he's a witty fella too. His daughter is also a highly-rated competition shooter.
