    I think there is just a typo in the article title where the D1-3 should be D1-4. According to the 2014 manual for the Grizzly Model G4002 and G4003 lathes, the spindle has a D1-4 Camlock. The studs for the D1-4 require a 5/8” (0.625) OD. I have a lathe very similar to the G4003 and recently replaced the D1-4 studs for my 3-jaw chuck and these were 0.625” OD.
