Propane tank controlled explosion test - video

That's a relief they have safety valves. Well documented explaining what happens. Thanks for posting

The narrator's voice reminds me so much of the canned police, historic, government and safety messages from my younger days.

This is actually fairly common in wildfires; aboveground propane tanks are popular in the same wooded areas that are prone to wildland fires. I have heard these "pop" in a wildfire myself. 1:31 video of a Colorado wildfire where you can see tanks blowing.

some "POP" Jon, if close up. yeikes I'm outa there.

Not really bleves. Yeah looks like a gas release resulting in a fireball, but no tanks going pop, or blowing, in this video.
Definately do not rely on reporters "informed" opinions on anything.
At 0:58 .."thats a propane tanker"... Ummm No!
At 0:59.."Or are they back burning?"...Ummm No!
At 1:01 ...what are they doin?...Ummm Nothing. Its a result of a wildfire.........Or, I'm sorry I thought you were the intelligent, articulated and INFORMED media providing us with newsworthy content. F.....ng amateurs!
At 1:06 I didnt see any explosion........Ummmm Yes!
At 1:26..."awesome!"...Ummm No! ....Catastrophic or Devastating, or "possibly hazardous to the emergency responders on the ground" might be phrases to add to your vocabulary. But awesome, .....no
At 1:29 a bunch of unintelligble gibberish. Pretty much sums up the entire commentary......Sadly this seems to be a worldwide phenomenom
Cheers Phil
