Given the license plate and a few other details, this dude seems to be a compatriot of mine.
Ouch! - the last few frames shows that he didn't even bother to use a tailstock centre.
Perhaps he just wanted to test the headstock bearings & alignment for an "unusual load capacity"?
Well - you can use a microscope to drive nails too, only slight less efficiently than with a hammer...

I would definitely need to use the tailstock center on my Unimat SL1000 to pull something like that!

Given the stupidity of some in machining classes this is a good one to illustrate the power (torque) of a lathe, as showing them just how lethal they can be with torn up body parts is now verboten due to claims of PTSD. If it can pull a jeep your puny body stands no chance against it!
