    I would have not wanted to be a bomber gunner at all but I would love to take that training though!

    I would not want to be the guy launching the targets. Looks like he is right in the prime muzzle blast zone.

    But it would be fun to be the gunner, as long as no one is shooting back!!!

    Ball turret guns were generally 12.7mm/.50 cal. This one looks quite a bit larger than that. The video is probably training for a 40mm gun used against the German V-1 flying bomb. The V-1 would fly for a while then drop, similar to a thrown clay pigeon.
