Retired and no experience as machinist but have tools, many of which need rebuilding or set-up. Love to fix things and figure out how to do something new. Hope to die learning something new.
There are many projects up in the air. I have a Craftsman lathe (Atlas 618) that is ready to use. I'm working on straightening a bent lead screw on Harrison M300 lathe and reassembling and getting this into operation. It also needs new lead screw nuts as well as an electrical problem. I need to find a rattle in a Powermatic/Burke mill. I believe it is in the motor and hopefully can be fixed with new bearings. The list goes on and on. This is just a start on the metal working tools. There are several woodworking tools that need refurbishing. This says nothing of the fleet of small Kubota tractors, automobiles and trucks, and jobs around the house.
