Rhodri is my name and handiwork is my game.

Hi everyone! I have worked construction, been a driver and served in the Us Army. I have been too poor for most of my life and I have learned to make whatever I need around the house because of my financial situation. I'm going to make further use of my ingenuity to craft and sell various items. I have made knives and hammers, hinges and assorted items out of both wood and metal, water pumps out of metal and pvc pipe. Carpentry and both wood and bone carving have always been fun for me. I will be moving to a new house in October or early November and I plan to make a walkway that looks like a stream bed through my "new" to me house. Wish me luck!

Hi Rhodri - welcome to HomemadeTools.net

That's a nice wide set of interests. The stream bed walkway sounds very cool. Have you seen any good designs for it online?

Thanks Jon, No I haven't, It just came to me as a different type of design for an interior walkway. I was thinking of how to get the groceries from the front door too the kitchen without tracking mud and wet on my carpet. I thought why not make it beautiful at the same time rather than just cutting the carpet and laying wood flooring. It will have either a epoxy, or a resin top to make it waterproof, with a very slight dip in the center. Sand and river stones in side a wooden box that has a beveled edge on the outsideto match the existing floor level. I also thought of making small copper fish to place in the resin or epoxy.
