    Grew up on a cattle and horse ranch, the horse will have the above problem, where a Mule will not, which is why we rode mules into the back country to fix fence, count heads, etc. They are stronger, smarter, less prone to illness, will eat stuff that would kill a horse, and more than once I have watched a big Jack light into a mountain lion and kill it so fast it was amazing.

    Naw, even people have this problem, my 4'10" 300 pound (very late in life, 90's) mother in law got so fat late in life if she fell down and landed on her back, she couldn't get up without help.

    I have, as a volunteer with the S.0. the FD and Emergency Management, assisted in helping people up who were like my MIL.
