Models have come a long way since I was a kid. Some of these I can see a use for in the garden alongside the remote control lawn mower. I really fancy being a porch supervisor.

Chimney? The debris appears to be falling downward relative to the vid clip which would suggest that the "chimney" is horizontal.

probably find that the "soot" is still glowing inside

maybe it's inside a kiln, and maybe the "sparks" are residual heat reacting when exposed to air - seen that in DRI kilns

Once again much more information is required, where did/does the build up come from? definitely not a vertical chimney so what is it? etc ...

in the DRI kilns, it was a mix of slag/dross and abraded refractory mixed together and sticking to the walls, building up and often contained steam pockets which would "explode' once disturbed and they reacted with the air.
