Robotic dog with mounted gun - GIF

Dogs, robots, guns - I like all of those. All in one, maybe not a good idea.

Lordy, this feels like the beginning of the end! Didn't anybody pay attention to "Terminator"?!? And now that the Terminator, hisself, has been accused of farting on fellow actors, it will only be a matter of time before that thing gets a doodad that sprays noxious gas, too! The horror...

I was hoping to hear it bark and then cock a leg on someone.

Looks like they haven't sorted out how it handles recoil, though. When firing those short fully auto bursts, it seems maybe only the first one is hitting accurately. The rest are going high.

Another thing, when it runs out of bullets in that first clip, it's done. Game over for Fido.

What impresses me most about this contraption is how smoothly it walks, moves, and turns. It's almost like it just glides. That is quite impressive to me.

    The future is clear...

Now WHAT could Possibly go wrong with a robotic dog that's carrying a loaded rifle that he can fire at will? How would it know if you were a good guy or a bad guy? Would it even care? What could possibly go wrong????

This is a great proof of concept, when we fight them in the robot war they'll have lost the stock, flipped it sideways so it's not so far from the robot, and it'll be on a pan/tilt mount so it can track targets and aim independently of the dog's motion.

I liked it a lot better when we could escape the robot uprising by going up a flight of stairs. Now things are complicated.
