    The dog is grounded and more stable. Every time a round would hit the drone it would move a little making accurate tracking a lot more difficult.

    I'm afraid that is where we seem to be heading too.
    Human controlled robots/machines to determine who the enemy is and where, then they engage autonomously until they receive a human signal to stop.
