Beautiful. And it'll probably last 700 years. I'm sure RoHS killed this. Is there a modern equivalent?

The man is a true artesian. Working with lead especially welding it takes practice and patience. I used to use lead as a body filler
Never try to tell me it can't be done
When I have to paint I use KBS products

Notre Dame cathedral supposedly had 460 tons of lead roofing when it was originally built in the 13th century. They didn't have the luxury of gas torches at the time so the joints were probably done with soldering irons heated over a fire. Imagine that amount of work.

They apparently got a historical waiver for the European RoHS thing after the 2019 fire and restored the roof to the original style of lead sheets. I'll bet they didn't use soldering irons on that job.
