Just about every conceivable device known to man has been deployed to remove stumps and root balls from land to be used for farming.
This one looks like brute force wins
I don't own a crawler yet so I have to do the root removal this way
By chaining the forks close together on the fork attachment on my back hoe I can stab the forks in the ground around the trunk of a mesquite tree and tilt back. A vouple of times I have had to extend the back hoe as far back as possible to keep from lifting the rear of the tractor completely off the ground
I've pulled up trees that were 4 inches in diameter with tap roots over 30 feet long and runner roots reaching nearly 50 feet away.
