    Look for core box bits to match the diameter of the tubing you intend to use. You may need to build a jig to safely and accurately rout the edge of the disk. Perhaps a guide for a router table might be best using the fence and some blocks to keep the disk centered over the bit. Disc stood on edge against fence with blocks keeping disk centered over the bit. Then rotate disk, some form of added handle to help control the disk would help. Hope this is more helpful than confusing, not the best exspainer I guess. Looks like a fun project.
    By the way I assume you do not have access to a lathe if you are thinking of using a router.
