    Royal Navy warship collides with another - GIF

    HMS Chiddingfold collides with the berthed HMS Bangor in Bahrain.

    Word has it that HMS Chiddingfold had just had work done on her control systems and the throttle direction of thrust had been reversed, the prop wash (from going full astern) increases as the bridge crew set the throttles to full ahead as can been seen in the video. HMS Bangor is probably a write off, was due to be retired/sold off in the next few years, Chiddingfold being larger, and stronger in the area where she hit, was apparently only slightly damaged, both were/are fibreglass mine hunters. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1065794571358736

    I was wondering why I saw prop wash going forwards.

    But that should have been checked before leaving the pier.
