A Rugged Bipod

Picture yourself standing on a slope above a cliff. The ground is rough rock. The task is to support a 20 foot long mast which has one end anchored in a hinge near the edge of the cliff. The support must be about 2 feet tall, stable, yet not too heavy. Fun challenge!

Come on now, Rick. You can't describe this thing and not tell us what the boom is used for (assuming that information isn't classified).

Also, a sketch of the installation including boom and bipod would be very helpful.

Yeah Rick, you left us all hanging on the edge of this cliff. So why are you all doing this once a year? I was thinking flag pole but it doens't look like a flag pole, doesn't even look like a Christmas decoration.
