    The one pictured is NOT a normal Long EZ, but one modified with an experimental pulsed-detonation engine https://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/Vi...g-ez-borealis/

    A normal Long EZ is a much more svelte aircraft, as befits a Rutan design...(and yes, based on a lot of pictures on the web, this is the normal way to park it! )

    Inflight's Tools
    They land on tricycle gear, then once the pilot steps out he raises the nose gear and places the aircraft nose on the ground so the plane doesn't flip backwards and damage the prop.
