Salvaging a car carrier - video

On 5 December 2012, the car carrier MV Baltic Ace sank after colliding with the container ship Corvus J near the port of Rotterdam. Eleven sailors lost their lives. The Baltic Ace was carrying 1,417 cars and approximately 540,000 liters (140,000 US gal) of fuel oil. Its wreck rested at a depth of 35 meters (115 ft), causing a serious navigation and environmental hazard in one of the world's busiest shipping lanes.

The wreck was cut into eight pieces which are then raised from the seabed. The same method was previously used in the salvage of MV Tricolor (link below) and the Russian submarine Kursk.

I remember seeing this on NOVA or something and the cable cutting was an amazing feat of engineering and seamanship! Most impressive world class salvage!
