I see once again you need to enroll to see the rifle and pistol pictures from a vet. I was a vet and it does me no good to see anything of that nature posted. Why do I have to join a club in order to voice my opinion?
We recently moved the site away from an advertising business model, and to a membership business model (the latter of which is the much lesser evil). I understand that it's frustrating to have to pay for any content, but we tried to make the most reasonable choices when deciding what to keep free and what to make paid, and the Women subforum seems a reasonable choice to include in the paid membership.
I understand that the moving of the site was for the betterment of the site. No problems there. My question is what was the deciding criteria to make the women pictures the paid only available. They had ever been before and now it has become factual.
Seems to me that the old adage of money talks and so on has struck.
Don't get me wrong please, as I do enjoy the site and will continue to as far as I will be allowed.
That's reasonable. The thinking behind making the Women subforum pay-only is that it's more of a community-oriented non-technical bonus feature of the site. As opposed to making any of the tool building forums pay-only.
That being said, we may augment it in the future. For example, one option would be to make photos in the Women forum free to view, but to make GIFs pay-only. Etc.
