    I see a problem here; the suction line is the same flexible cloth covered hose as the delivery line. Applying suction to it would collapse it instead of swelling it.
    Never try to tell me it can't be done

    Neat Pump Idea

    The pump unit is on the end of the hose in the ditch under water and there is a flex shaft running inside the hose. At first I thought, that's a small looking pump, but the part with the V belts connected to it is just a drive unit connected to the flex shaft. Neat idea.
