Shoe finishing machine modification

Hi all!
A friend gave me this old machine.
There is no brand, it's solid construction with lot of tools. I think I will use for polishing, considering the long arms.


What's in your opinion the best way to fit cotton and sisal wheels? The arms are 30mm diameter (+/-) round flat surface, I'm thinking about to build a sort of external adaptor. I'm not happy to make left thread, and above all to loose mind finding a left nut, my idea is to fix the wheel with a couple of screws, do you think it could be good?
