I've been watching a few youtube channels, of the Younger Dryas meteor event. It's still some arguments amongst PHDs that based their credential on a false idea, and can't let go, as they spent too much research on proving it right.
At any rate, my back yard has ultra fine sand, layer with a redish clay. I'm pretty sure it's post glacial big flood and met deposited, and I think annual sort of layering. Some green boulders hard sand stone, that I would like to know where those erratics came from, as there are many found in what I believe is an old river bed.
About 3 meters down is lime stone, with fossils, from the inland sea bed that was here 700MYA.
The problem with Younger Dryas meteor, where, and how many hit? But appears they all hit the ice sheet and the energy released caused both a major flood on the ground, and huge ice balls to be ejected that the remains of the elliptic splash hits are seen mostly in the Carolina bays, as these features weather away fast.
Current idea it killed off the Clovis peoples (they were not first, but another argument of PHDs). And it killed off most of the Mega-Fauna animals.
Same event caused kill off of life through out planet. Some ideas are the pyramids (that had granite face blocks, in Egypt) were built pre Younger Dryas event.
I don't know, but seeing all the evidence of many civilizations that have existed over time, and their loss in time, talking animals have been here a long time.
