Oops, Might want to make sure the motorcycle is in neutral next time before attempting to start it up.

Showroom test: Do not sell this man a motorcycle unless he buys it in cash. Can't get payments from a dead guy. Sadly we have way too many of this sort of riders around.

This man is clearly a dimwit, but I kinda like that motorcycle, mostly due to the fact that you can engage the starter whenever you want. I didn't think Honda would make a bike where you could engage the starter while in gear. Every other manufacturer locks out the starter with the neutral and/or clutch switch. Protip; bypass that switch. There are a lot of really good reasons to engage the starter while in gear. Particularly in a broken down Jeep.

My Tacoma has a button you can push to allow starting without pushing the clutch. You can do it in any gear. I have had 1996, 1999, 2005, my son has a 2019, all had that feature.

I did not think Jeeps ever broke down?

There is a position on my Harley where it is in neutral, but the N light does not come on, every once in a while I hit it, but it has never" jumped" into gear.

Technically a 'Jeep' never does. There is a phenomena of all breakdowns, when irate owners change the name into similar unpronounceable sounds. It worsens dependent on expenditure curing situation, multiplied by proximity outside help.
Some never regain their original title...
