Irvine, CA 1978. There was an attraction named "Lion Country Safari". You drove through in your private vehicle [no convertibles!] among elephants, hyenas, cape buffalo, rhinos, gazelle, lions; the works. A very reasonable simulation of African veldt/ savanna, with hidden fences.
I drove the 65 El Camino, dating my Buenos Aires exchange student. Well, halfway through a rhino occupied the warm asphalt dang near full width. The wardens in zebra striped Broncos arrive, shooing him off with BB rifles. Not much farther, we felt the little Chevelle chassis tremble and squat, with a lioness peeking in the back window, of course standing in the bed. I so wanted a picture but couldn't frame a 70's era selfie with a 200mm lens. The BB gangsters rolled up, missed my windows, and I got the best hugs ever.

There is something about Second Hand Lions that always appealed to me especially the good stories.

VERY clever connection PJs, It's very high on my list too. Not surprising Caine and Duvall occur repeatedly in said list.

Some times the things that may or may not be true are the things a man needs to believe in the most.
    That people are basically good.
That honor, virtue, and courage mean everything; that money and power mean nothing.
That good always triumphs over evil.
    That true love never dies.

All, most excellent lines, well spoken by true artists....just wish more people would hear them, understand them and live by them.
