    Simple Cross Slide Dial Indicator

    Here is a simple cross slide dial indicator system. It relies on Neodymium Magnets attached to a dial indicator and a piece of angle iron.

    The magnets are available for very reasonable prices from the likes of Ebay.

    This design suits my lathe which has long cross slide travel and flat bed and cross slide.
