Yes, they do have air bags in their suits.
I was not aware they had air bags until now.
This video I found on YouTube shows several different types.

It appears his surgery was successful and he will be returning back to Spain to recover in coming days. Looking forward to seeing him back in top form. He was almost unbeatable before the accident.
Yes, I’m a Marquez fan, if that isn’t obvious, LOL

Well, now that you mention it.....
Any performer who puts himself on the line, after undoubtedly campaigning as a privateer, investing considerable portion of resources, despite guaranteed setbacks, long enough to prove himself worthy a factory sponsorship deserves fans.
Many are drawn to such types, maybe by identifying with or personal goal.
At any rate, more deserved than some yahoo swinging a bat.

I don't think the rider wearing black had the right attitude. Sure if there hadn't already been a downed bike he probably wouldn't have crashed. but he did crash there is no use in getting all mad about the ordeal. For either of the riders to try and separate two screaming bikes would be like trying to break up a dog or a cat fight though.
A kill switch bracelet might be a reasonable solution in the event of a crash. But I don't race so it might not be a good suggestion
