    Smartphone holder

    Last one for today,
Here is a jig I have made for holding my smartphone, taking pictures of filming while I'm working on the bench.

It is an extension of my "over the bench crane" already showed here :

If you remember you mathematics classroom, this is a practical example of polar coordinates. The cran can turn around its axis and the jig can slide along the arm.
In addition, there are two rotation axis on the jig.

This smartphone is quite funny, I can take pictures without touching it, I just have to say "smile" or "cheers" and it takes the picture by itself. This is the most efficient remote control ! Thought depending on what is playing on the radio, it can also react to the radio program !

The smartphone is hold with a hacked car smartphone holder piece, I kept only the holding piece and removed the suction pad. I screwed it on the wood.

There is one single wing screw to tighten everything in place.

Cool fixture, Christophe! And being made from wood, it isn't as heavy as a steel one. Is this the phone you've been using for your pictures all this time? The quality's not bad.

Nice addition to an already useful rig. I really dig the simple swivel mechanism and the quick release.
