    Front wheel drive so all critical components are located forward of the damage. if it were possible to get it up on a lift without it completely breaking in half it could be patched up fairly easy or at least well enough for it to last a while longer.

    In case anyone was wondering, this a VW Parati from around 1990 or so. They were built in Argentina and sold around the world under various model names. This one has been abused beyond reason and I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot welding rod.
