Well that ain't how they do it in Durango, though sadly there hasn't been the snow this year to need it.

Great idea. Even emptying the wing before the driveway makes a big difference

That's nice, and so simple just a little thought.

More on snow boots, AKA snow gates.

Looks like they might be a little gimmicky. 2:01 MSM news report questioning their effectiveness:

Searching for the "higate" text on the snow gate sticker yields a manufacturer with many similar products: Hi-Gate – Henke

A friend of mine in CT gets to re clear his drive way every time the plow comes through He will have his 1/4 mile long all nice and cleared sown to the street. get in his truck to go some where only to find that at the bottom of the steep sloping drive will have a wall of snow to go through after the plow has passed by.
Never try to tell me it can't be done

I used to clear snow for the township. there is no way to make everyone happy. People want to roads cleared quick, but expect you to magically not push any snow into their drive.

Once after a big show, one family cleared their drive apron and piled ALL of the snow in the road, on the "upstream" side of their drive, not on the berm but In the road.
When I drove by, that big pile ended up right back on their apron. But now instead of nice, fluffy, fresh fallen snow, it big hard chunks.
