Mama don't wash my protozoans, Mama don't wash my protozoans, Mama don't wash my protozoans away. Ciliates are useful in helping to control other parasitic organisms

This is why antibacterial soap is complete nonsense. Soap, by virtue of being soap, rips bacteria apart. Yes, you can add something to soap that bacteria find toxic. No, it isn't going to do much. It's like painting arsenic on a hand grenade.

All my life I have believed that the biggest reason why so many people get sick from nothing is because they are so germophobic, they OCD in the way they go about cleaning themselves and everything they come in contact with.

There's a strong statistical link between asthma, auto-immune diseases and not being exposed to enough dirt and crud as a child. George Carlin on the subject:

I was a kid on a small farm in Maryland. I had two older brothers. I was their daily target. I grew up eating dirt in a barnyard (think about that). I can eat the oldest and ripest stuff in the icebox.

And when was the last time you had a seriously bad cold or the flu, if you can remember that far back? The only time I ever have any symptoms is after my system is weakened down from pulling a 36 to 48 hour straight shift My normal days start when I wake up around 6Am and end when I go to bed around 2Am most days. Jane says I sleep like I'm a granite stone but if I 'm in bed by midnight I'll wake up around 4Am then toss and turn till I finally fall asleep again
