The poof from the vent holes atop the 'hammer'; it would depend on soil, weight and height, wonder how much compaction occurs.
What with Earth being flat, who has that odd short cylinder of dirt, poking up in their backyard?

I've walked on it, remember? I'm short, but 11.5 boot a decent snowshoe, so to speak.
Can't imagine how shop floor is so solid; even with your post on compaction.
