I always thought it was kind of impressive what people with prosthetics could accomplish. In high school, one of my girlfriend's father had lost his left arm at the elbow. He owned an old fashioned service station and worked as a mechanic every day.
Then I got to find out first-hand when I lost my left toes and most of my right foot due to a ruptured aneurysm. The Forest Gump shoes are a small price to pay for not falling down and busting my head every time I stand up.
Thanks to those who make these things work.
