    Spark Plug Tube Removal Trick

Here's a little trick to remove leaky spark plug tubes. Just jam an NPT tap in the old tube and pry it out with a flat head screwdriver. This is an alternative to the OEM tool (that expands the plastic and doesn't really work).

I could have used this when pulling the tubes out of my R53 mini Cooper S head. They're steel, but I think this would work on them just as well. I ended up using pliers and a block of wood to pry against. It worked, but risked damaging the head.

I will probably never own a Porsche, but it's still cool to know these tricks.
