    I don't know enough about spot welding or batteries to comment otherwise.

    No current limiting and they're going to melt those wires. It would be very difficult to not burn through thin material. Little battery tab spot welders are pretty cheap on Amazon. I bought one. It works good. It has a dial on it for the amount of heat so you don't burn through the material.

    Which one did you buy? Some of those seem a little sketchy.

    I probably got one of the sketchy ones. I use it a lot though, and it hasn't burst into flames yet. I don't like the plastic case. If it had a metal case I would feel 10000x better about the situation. Otherwise it's fine.

    the welder I got is pretty good, just mind that you have to recharge it every few months to avoid battery issues.
