I think this qualifies as a work of welders art.
You can buy kits of pre-cut tubing to do this yourself as welding practice or just for the challenge of it:

And while those look pretty cool, given the state of my welding skills I choose to turn less expensive pieces of steel into melted lumpy blobs.
