My son in-law's mother is a carver. Years ago i made her a spoon gouge out of a coil spring I found at a buss station. I have a drawer full of wrenches that I think I can find an extra to make one of these for her. I had thought about making a ring carver for my wood lathe after someone mentioned there was such a thing. I could just buy one but what is the fun in that especially if it turns out to be something I didn't like. Gotta prove to myself whether I can do it or not. Very good use of extra tools, did you leave a name so if it breaks you can take it for replacement, chuckle.
