    Static Balancing Jig

    I made this jig for static balancing all the electric motor armatures on my machines, I know that dynamically balancing is the proper way but I have had pretty good luck with this method over the years, And it's a lot cheaper, If you take your time you can have pretty darn good results,

    The 2 bases were made from 1" X 2" X 8" long 1018 CRS precision ground all over, the 4 columns were made from 5/8" round 303 stainless steel secured to the bases by four 5/16" socket head cap screws,

    The blades were made from 1/4" X 1" X 8" long O-1 tool steel hardened and ground with a 90 degree included angle on one edge, There is a leveling screw on one end of each base, I use a 12" starrett machinist level to level the blades,
