Hi Jon, Thanks for the welcome.
I'm planning to make tri-fold doors for two openings that are just under 20' wide and 14' in height. I have 2 old industrial type garage door openers and want to mount them to the header above the opening parallel to the wall and put a cable with pulleys that will attach to the tri-fold doors and operate to open the doors from the center to both sides.
Since the doors will be hung on rollers and require a track on the bottom to guide and stabilize them I am looking for options with metal tube welded at corners and trimmed with wood and glass inserted windows. Has there been anything like this to come across the Homemade Tools forum?
The 20' by 28' space is my work space for future projects and has two ten foot openings, one on either side. the attached two story side is for tools and equipment as well as storage. I describe this building as a "Multi-Use Agricultural Building". The opposing side is future use for a multi level greenhouse. So there are openings on all four sides for light and access.
Any suggestions?
