String dispenser - from masonry drill bit

I remember when shop assistants would wrap purchases in brown paper and string, which they pulled from a dispenser above.
So a dispenser for string is old-fashioned, but less so than candlesticks, and they are still popularString dispenser - from masonry drill bit-077e0911-7085-436f-b9f3-4541a4b3e113.jpg
How well this will sell, I do not know, since I have made one only. But it strikes me that smiths who do craft fairs might like to include it in their range, if so, they’re welcome.

I think it’s cool and it looks nice. I tell you what though when it doesn’t have string or thin wire in it it will go straight to the section of “what is this tool and what was it used for?

Very cool, and looks quick and easy to make. As a blade smith I like to have some lower cost items on my table to help pay for the table and such and normally sell quite a few smalls such as flint strikers and sporks and such. I may have to try one of these to see how well it works.

    Thanks for the idea.
