    I don't really get it. An atom is composed of a nucleus, and orbited by electrons. It has been described by physicists as a small speck like a dust mote in the center of a sports arena, (the nucleus) with the electrons orbiting at the outer edge of the arena. Most people don't realize that all material is mostly empty space. So, what is it we are seeing there? Only the nucleus?
