WOW! I have been next to a tree hit by lightning and it blew me about 20 feet. I was picking splinters out for months.
There is a YouTube channel called Adapt 2030 and I saw a video the other day that showed a car in a dealers yard hit by lightning and it drilled a hole through the windscreen and basically cut the dashboard in half.
Good to know no-one was hurt.
I used to go chasing storms in my old Jeep. I had a number of close strikes. Saw a few transformers blow up. Fun times.
